Player Additions and Roster Changes
The last day to add players to your roster is this upcoming Week 2. After this Sunday, no more changes to the roster may be made. Only three players may be added to any roster.
A Note on Website Updates
All updates to the website take time. We must calculate the stats, do the rankings, write recaps, download and adjust the photos, and much more. And on top of that, we all have day jobs. So we appreciate everyone's patience as far as this is concerned. This week, the updates were put up later than we like to, and some inaccuracies on our part have caused some setbacks. It has been a year and a half since the last AABL Season, and we are re-learning our job.
As soon as we get the flow going again (just like you shooters out there), we will have everything up in a more timely manner. This is not a science but we will have everything up as follows: Monday- front page, some photos; Tuesday-standings, stats; Wednesday-recaps. As things start to iron themselves out, everything may be updated sooner.
Thanks for your understanding and if anyone out there wants to help us crunch some numbers on game day or any other day, our door is wide open!

AABL 2007 "Back to Basics" Update
The AABL 2007 Season is right around the corner and it is looking to be the most competitive season yet. With most of the teams being veterans to the league and knowing what the AABL is about, there will definitely be solid (if not stacked), battle-tested squads competing this year. However, there is some fresh meat in the league eager to prove that they can hang.
Last year's champs, Commonwealth (aka Yellowjackets), rounded out the 14 team schedule and added a bunch of talent to an already solid league. The Bullets (aka Wolfpack) wouldn't have it any other way, as they will, once again, attempt to break the second-place curse and dethrone the champs (the core group of C'mon/Jackets). Quiet Storm, Capo-D, and DOC are athletic, young teams poised to take a shot at the crown, but, before they can get any serious credibility, they will have to earn respect by outbattling C'mon and Bullets. The Rebels, Sith Lords, and Skymax were all playoff teams last year, but now they will all have more difficult schedules as they will prove that their playoff runs weren't a fluke. Two teams which usually have strong seasons, Dope Squad and the Raptors, failed to make the playoffs in 2005 but they still have plenty of talent and are poised to make a strong showing this year. The Bomba Stars remain a solid team, but the talent on the other teams seems to overwhelm them. Luckily, this might be their year as 12 of 14 teams will make the playoffs this year.
With three new teams joining the league for AABL 2007, the league gets the fresh shot of talent that it needed. There is some limited information on the teams, but they all are eager to get on the court and they all appear to have some confidence in their game. If you want to hear it from the grapevine then my short report on the teams are as follows: the Brown Hornets have size and experience, the Dream Team is young and athletic, the Blazers have heart and hustle. I'm sure all of the teams will give them a warm welcome.
No team will have an easy path to the the title this year. And by looking at the schedule, every week will have its share of exciting games. So if you're a player or a fan, hang on to your seats because I can guarantee its gonna be a rollercoaster season this year. We've said it before, but we'll say it again... THIS is gonna be the best AABL season yet!

AABL 2007
This blog thing is a work in progress. We used a guestbook in previous seasons for players and fans to share their thoughts on the league. We're going to give this format a shot and see how it works.
So please feel free to share any comments, ask a question, or complain about a certain aspect of the league. You may need a GOOGLE account to comment on a blog.
